Why do people and nations have to keep on fighting? I can't recall a day of my life when war wasn't raging somewhere or on the horizon of beginning, In the past thousands of years, has there ever been a time without war?

Sadly, war is profitable, so some people want to start them for that reason. And others are so fueled with hate over differences, that they'll start wars to try to eliminate people who are different in whatever way or every way.

J, yes, no doubt there is big money in war and those who profit most promote the war efforts the most. It's just fascinating that nations and groups are so willingly bent towards destruction.

Yes, war is profitable, always has been. And man is violent, especially in large groups. WWI is a good example of we'll find any excuse.
ReplyDeleteCW, it just all seems weird to me, but I like the safety and security of just staying at home and not bothering anyone else.

War, whether between two people or two countries, is sad but seems to be inevitable. Just look back through history - power and control rule the world.

Donna, I guess if we didn't have conflict then that would greatly limit the number of stories writers could tell. But then maybe the other stories might be better. I like a good conflict story so what can I say.

"Why, oh why?" I say that all the time. I don't understand it either, Lee.
