Nothing nullifies nobody is the phrase that came into my head when I thought of the letter 'N'. No reason maybe, but I think it has something to do with something I must have been thinking at the time. I'll explain...

Go ahead and say something. Don't be afraid to speak your mind.

Not so much canceled, but more like practicing self-censorship. Because at this stage of the game, I'm a political moderate in a ocean of those who aren't. Which means I really have to watch what I write on my blog and on FB, because i now post my blog links on FB to get views.
ReplyDeleteI don't like censorship/canceling of any kind but in today's world, sometimes you have do things that go against your personal morals in order to maintain what you have.
They can cancel me all they want. About 6 people will notice.
ReplyDeleteOne of Meta's bots threw me off of Facebook and Instagram. Screw 'em if thy can't take a joke.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I got tired of people being mean to each other on FB so I haven't been to my page in years. If they keep at it those who are doing the "canceling" will one day have no free speech - and they have no clue.
ReplyDeleteI never felt that negativity on the internet but I know it’s out there which is so very sad. One should be able to express their beliefs, whether you agree with them or not, unless it’s about destroying someone, or usurping the government, like Jan 6th, but saying things that others don’t like, well, those people need to get over it and not take a hissy fit. My ex, whom I am good friends with, got banned from Facebook! He is the last person I would have expected to be banned. He took tons of great pictures of his walks and travels, his bad pun jokes and, yes, he would mention his beliefs against Trump and, here in Canada, Pierre Poilievre. When he liked a page called “The friends against Pierre Poilievre, soon after, he was banned! My ex went into a bad anxiety attack because Facebook is where he talks to many friends and where he can express his emotions. It was so bad that he ended up at the hospital and found out he had a panic attack. I was a bit dumbfounded how much he was invested in Facebook. He opened up a Wordpress blog and joined the A to Z challenge showcasing his photography. I am not sure how much he visits others and he does not know how to follow some blogs. I have to see him and show him.personally, if I got banned from Facebook, I’d take that as a badge of honour.
