This Is Me--2024 A to Z Theme

My A to Z Themes in the past have covered a range of topics and for 2024 the theme is a personal retrospective that I call "I Coulda Been" which is in reference to my job and career arc over my lifetime. I'll be looking at all sorts of occupations that I have done or could have done. Maybe you've done some of these too!

I'm not posting anything new today and here's why:

I want to continue to focus on yesterday's announcement.  If you missed it be sure to scroll down to see the Wednesday message or click here.

At the time I write this post the challenge has reached the 75th participant.    We're off to a good start.  If you didn't sign up yesterday, I encourage you to do so today.   Remember, we're shooting for at least 300 in this challenge, but Alex's 500 would be even better.

I saw many excuses out there of why you couldn't do this.  Well, I say you can!  Remember, you have two months to prepare for this.   You are creative enough and you won't run out of ideas--there are plenty for each letter.   Don't discredit yourself.  It can be all for fun or for building your platform or whatever you want to make of it.  This is the challenge of accessing endless possibillities in an enjoyable way.

Also, I want to thank all of you who have already put up the badge and in some cases even posted about the challenge.   That's what it's going to take to really make this challenge a success.

Click on the links for Alex, Jen, and Talli and read the comments so far if you haven't done so already.  Those links can be found in my post of yesterday (I'm having a computer issue right now that makes it difficult for me to add links).

Let's try to get the Linky count up to 200 by Monday.  Please pass the word.

  1. It's a fun idea, and I'm very tempted. I'll give it some thought. I'm not worried so much by the creativity as by the planning. I came via Sandra Ulbrich Almazan's blog and she has the prep well in hand, with good advice for anyone worried about this aspect.

  3. If bloggers understood the benefits, they'd sign up in a heartbeat! And neither the six days a week nor the letters of the alphabet are that challenging. Like Yvonne, I already have my posts planned.

  13. Jules -- Getting a head start is a good plan. Appreciate any help we can get to spread the word.

Larry - I know. I was using an old advertising trick to catch your attention. I guess it worked? I will have to find out about the Linky tool question.

PCS -- It was a people helping people thing last year and that's what made it so great.

Sig -- We're off to a good start considering it's two months ahead of the event.

Raquel -- Glad you're back. You, me, and a lot of others were new to blogging last year and the challenge really gave us all a boost didn't it.

Elizabeth -- Don't be afraid! We're all friends here and I think you will find the Challenge to be a tremendously rewarding experience.

I don't imagine you expected me to sign up for A TO Z, but I figured I ought to at least say something about it.

In the first place, even if I did sign up for it and attempt it, you already know from my track record that I'd only quit on you in the middle of it (or just beyond the middle, at the letter "O"). :o)

But aside from being a quitter, I can assure you I won't be blogging at all by the time April gets here.

So... just in case you wuz wunderin' why you ain't heard a peep outta me 'bout dis, now ya knowz.

But I hope y'all have fun with it, and I will check in on it at least a few times to see wha's up.

  23. Laura -- Glad you're in, now just relax and have fun.

Stephen McC-- Did you get my e-mail? C'mon you can do your posts now and you won't need to blog in April. I think the idea I presented to you in the e-mail is workable.
