This was my ninth year at the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. It's always been a somewhat frantic time for me in regard to my blog, but invariably some family crisis or event has arisen which made blogging more difficult for me. But this year--as Frank Sinatra might sing--it was a very good year.
Thanks to the incredible A to Z Team--

--my job was made so much easier and every problem that I was aware of got quickly remedied by the great minds that were assembled to run this year's Challenge. A huge Thank You to the Team and to all the players who joined us on our alphabetical blog run of 2018.
There is an excellent survey for A to Z participants and followers alike. I hope you will follow this link and help us with your input. There is also some other cool information.
Please stop by to thank the above linked A to Z Team members. They really did an amazing job.
I look forward to reading some of this year's batch of Reflections.
Thanks to everybody who visited this blog during the April Challenge or ever any other time.
I thought you did fantasically well Lee as always. I missed doing it this year. A good idea of yours many years ago have now become an annual event.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Yvonne, you'll have to be with us next year!

There were a lot less participants, but that made it easier on days when I was online. And more intimate for participants, like the very first one.
ReplyDeleteAlex, since not everyone signed up on the official list it was difficult to know exactly how many participants we had. One thing though is that I never ran across any non-participant blogs. Not to say there weren't any, but I didn't see any.

So glad things went well for you this year, Lee! Your theme was right up my alley, but unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to read too many posts. I'll have to play catch-up. Nine years is a remarkable run. Congratulations! ☺
ReplyDeleteDebbie D., Maybe next year you can be right there with us--again!

Hi Lee - thanks for starting this amazing challenge off - I always love doing it, while I learn so much - people put in a lot of work for their posts ... fascinating to pick up so much information. Congratulations once again - and cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHilary, so many great posts with so much fascinating information and insights. There are some truly proficient and dedicated bloggers who participate.

Loved your theme and could really relate. Thanks for starting this nine years ago and I will definitely participate next year for the big 10! I did like the spreadsheet idea for the link ups. It made it easier to find blogs to check out.
ReplyDeleteJanet’s Smiles
Janet, glad you liked the list method we used. I was afraid it might be too complicated for a lot of folks to use, but we still had a good turn-out.
DeleteNext year we hope to see a lot of returnees join us.
Lee
Congratulations on completing another A-Z, wow your 9th time!? How admirable!
ReplyDeleteDid the survey, now I need a nap.

Tamara, thank you for doing the survey. I did it too, but I've always been a sucker for surveys. This survey was particularly good I thought.

Thanks Lee - I LOVE the A-Z challenge and am grateful to the great minds and hands behind it. I'm glad this year went well for you, and I'm happy to report your series inspired my own decluttering spree.
ReplyDeleteDeborah, glad I inspired some others to assess their clutter. A to Z Challenge loves you and all of the other participants. After all, where would we be without you?

Hi Lee!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! As always, it was exhilarating to be a part of such an inspirational event. Your theme has done wonders for me - now I have boxes (instead of piles) closer to the door ;-)
Happy writing!
Diedre, when you finish with your house you can come help me with mine.

Loved your blog theme, Arlee. I was sorting out stuff right along with you.
ReplyDeleteCalensariel. I don't know about you, but I still have a long way to go with my sorting and organizing.

I really enjoyed your posts this time around even if I didn't comment on them all.

Donna, I enjoyed doing my posts this year--but I usually do enjoy my A to Z posts. Thanks for leaving your acknowledgement with this comment.

The month seemed to go by extra fast. I didn't see very many participants on my blogger dashboard. Were there a lot?
ReplyDeleteJoJo, there were nearly 700 blogs signed up on the official master list, but I think a lot more were not on the list and just linking up on Facebook and other places. Once the sign-ups go past 100 it's hard for me to keep up.

Had a great time as usual - thank you. Love the badges from the years down the side :)
ReplyDeleteAJ, the badge collection is getting pretty big.

Loved your theme that almost anyone can appreciate. We have all been there, will be there or are there now. Thanks for creating this awesome Challenge, Arlee. See you next April (if not before)!
ReplyDeleteEmily In Ecuador
Emily, your posts about Ecuador add so much to the Challenge. Thank you!

You did a great job rallying the troops and entertaining us, Lee - thanks very much.
ReplyDeleteRoland, as I've said elsewhere, I give the majority of the credit to the A to Z Team. They were indispensable in making this year a success.

The challenge was fantastic as always and I was soooo happy to see the return of the master list. I loved the daily lists too (I think I might like lists a little bit too much haha)
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Debbie, I always like lists. They provide choices.
