Knowledge (Elements of Blogging) #AtoZChallenge

While it can reasonably be argued that all blogs contain and impart knowledge, there are some blogs where knowledge is the focus.  These blogs might serve an educational capacity of teaching the readers about some particular topic or various topic through the dissemination and examination of knowledge in the form of facts, data, or certain opinions.

Knowledge blogs can be about history, geography, law, health, or any number of other topics.  Since most of us who blog about factual information are providing food for the mind so to speak, we are engaging in a form of teaching others.  The blogs that might be more accurately referred to as "knowledge" blogs have a teaching mission as the intent of the blog posts.   This mission might have a purpose of specific educational value or they might be providing knowledge for certain groups of bloggers such as writers.

A blogger's intent would be the primary definer as to whether their blog should be considered to be a knowledge blog.  Also in this category we might include bloggers whose focus is trivia or more specific arcane knowledge intended for entertainment value or educational value.

Do you ever use knowledge blogs for research?   Would you tend to agree with my assessment of a knowledge centered blog as opposed to a blogger who might sporadically drop tidbits of knowledge into their blog posts?   Are there some other "K" blogging themes that you can think of?

Here are some knowledge filled blogs:
