This Is Me--2024 A to Z Theme

My A to Z Themes in the past have covered a range of topics and for 2024 the theme is a personal retrospective that I call "I Coulda Been" which is in reference to my job and career arc over my lifetime. I'll be looking at all sorts of occupations that I have done or could have done. Maybe you've done some of these too!

#AtoZChallenge Theme Reveal Networking Event

The Great and Powerful A to Z Theme Reveal Blogfest!

For those who missed the Theme Reveal Blogfest announcement earlier in the week or didn't sign up yet here's what's happening in March.

Sign-ups for the 2015 A to Z Blogging Challenge are already under way. If you have done it before, you know how much fun it is (good for you!) and if you have not, this is your chance to give it a try! You can sign up to participate here.

One of the most burning questions participants ask themselves every year is: "Should I have a theme?"

Themes are not mandatory, but definitely fun. They let your visitors know what to expect, and help you create posts that line neatly up from A to Z. They also have an added bonus: They let you participate in a whole separate blogfest!

Two years ago A to Z participant Mina Lobo started the Theme Reveal, and we thought it was such a great idea that we made it tradition. It is now our very own, grand and festive way of rolling out our themes together!

Here is how the Theme Reveal Blogfest works:

Sign up on the Linky list below, and on March 23rd (Monday) publish a post on your blog in which you reveal your theme, tell us why it is exciting, and give us a hint of what to expect from it! Then, once your post is up, use the Linky to visit all the other blogs announcing their themes. Enjoy!

This is a great opportunity for all of you to get a jump start on your A to Z experience. You can link up with fellow bloggers, scout out and bookmark themes that you look forward to, and set out delicious themed bait on your blog to lure in wandering participants! This way, by the time the frenzied posting begins on April 1st, you will already have an audience eagerly awaiting your posts.

Battle of the Bands News!

The results from my February 15th Battle of the Bands post will be announced this coming Friday February 20th. If you haven't voted yet please do so before Thursday evening February 19th.   This one has been somewhat of a tough Battle as it has not been the most popular song in a style that many do not appreciate.   Right now it's a tight race so cast a vote for the version you think is most deserving.   These versions and this song are really not as bad as some are saying.   Sometimes you need to learn to appreciate things.

Do you have an A to Z theme decided for 2015?    Or are you going to go themeless?   What do you think would make the Battle of the Bands more exciting than it already is?  Or do you think Battle of the Bands is a big bore?

  1. Almost a hundred and fifty already in just two days - whoa!
My theme is set and I'm over halfway through the posts, preparing them for April.

    1. Seems like most anyone who signed up for April should sign up for this as well since it's a benefit to them with little effort involved.

  2. I really wanted to do A-Z of the Grateful Dead but I got stumped on a couple of letters. Even doing hours of research to find some connection b/t those letters and the Band or their music yielded nothing.

    1. I'll bet your creative mind could come up with something. I always have to stretch a bit on a few letters.

  3. Got my theme, just need 2-3 letters still, but have about 9 posts written. The Battle of the Bands is interesting, I'm just not much into music (go figure, I married a musician).

    1. Someday I want to explore why some people aren't very interested in music while others are almost fanatical. Maybe it's because of your husband's interest?

  4. Great idea Lee but with all the issues I have had and with moving next week am still muling over what theme to have. I can't seem to get my music on line anymore which is annoying,

    1. Not sure why that would be but hopefully you'll be able to work that out eventually.

  5. *sigh* I'm thinking I might have to drop out of the A-to-Z challenge. I'm not getting the stuff offline that I need to get done, so something is going to have to give. We'll see how much I accomplish in the next couple of weeks to see if I make it or not.

    1. You can do it. Short uncomplicated posts and as much visiting as you can handle. A presence makes a difference.

  6. Lots of sign ups for the theme reveal already. Sometimes I miss the BotB posts but I enjoy them when I do see them.

  7. Knowing me, March 23 is probably the day I'll be in labor and having a baby. It's going to be an epic year for the A to Z and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with theme wise.

    1. I agree, but I think sometimes people dismiss what they assume ahead of time they won't like or are unwilling to even try to like.

  12. I find your Battle of the Bands posts interesting. I often hear versions of songs (or even songs, period) I've never heard before.

You make the challenge sound so amazing. I wish I could join you.

    1. But you can join us, Jennifer. Short smart posts and pacing your networking rounds. You can do it!

  13. Nuts. I just revealed my theme for the Challenge. Should've come here first.
    Sorry.
    Don't hate me.

    1. Of course we don't hate you. In fact, even if you have already revealed your theme you can still do the theme reveal post later as you will probably get some new visitors or some who missed your first reveal.
