This Is Me--2024 A to Z Theme

My A to Z Themes in the past have covered a range of topics and for 2024 the theme is a personal retrospective that I call "I Coulda Been" which is in reference to my job and career arc over my lifetime. I'll be looking at all sorts of occupations that I have done or could have done. Maybe you've done some of these too!

Sign up for the A to Z Challenge Reflections Mega Post

The Linky list is now ready for you to add your link.  Please add the link that goes directly to your Reflections post since we well be referring to it in the weeks to come and we don't have to search for the proper post.   The list will be open until May 4th.   This is a blog hop so you will easily be able to add the list to your own blog site as well.

Please use discretion and courtesy if you add your name to the list.  We invite all participants of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge to join us to express themselves.   Others who feel like they have something truly relevant to add to this discussion are also welcome to participate with their thoughts so long as they are constructive in their intent to help and enlighten others.  Those who merely want to offer negative rants that have no constructive value are asked to refrain from joining the list.    We don't mind hearing your negative thoughts just so you are not trying to tear down other people or hurt the reputations of those who mean well.    And please don't add your name to the Linky list if you have no intent to participate and merely want to be seen on the list.  The list is intended to benefit others and not waste anyone's time.

Linky list can be found here (click link).

And for all of you who finished (or made a noble effort) Jen Daiker has created a badge for you to copy and add to your site.   Feel free to grab this one --copy image below or the cut and paste code is in my sidebar--let me know if the code doesn't work properly since I don't really know what I'm doing and sometimes I make stuff up as I go:

  15. Thank you all for your messages. There is an error in the coding for the badge image. I have noted this in the post now. I hope to have this resolved before tomorrow.

  16. Unfortunately, April did not work out so well for me, for blogging - I had other obligations that forced me to prioritize, most notably my grad course that HAD to be completed by 4/25. That, and some paid writing/editing work had to come first.

I'm still continuing my A to Z posts, though, since it is a good challenge, even though it's no longer part of the official A to Z Challenge!

Thanks to all who organized the challenge, and those who stopped by to visit and comment!

    Happy May 1st!

  17. Lee - thanks for all the hard work with this challenge - you are a star!

I tried to add the 'blog-hop' script to my blog but it's too wide (or else I'm doing something wrong, which is quite possible - flying by the seat of my pants, here!)

Looking forward to the new 'badge' as and when it becomes available!

    Thanks again!

  22. Lee, it was a wonderful challenge. Talli says you deserve a massive award. I agree and would like to add that you deserve a massive full course dinner!

If you need help with your badge as far as the code goes, I may be able to help you with regards to adding more options for participants.

Thanks for hosting such an active and inspiring blogging challenge!

  27. Hey Lee,
Ummm thanks, but no thanks :) Good luck and may your 'followers' total go beyond your wildest dreams. Don't you just hate that word 'followers', Lee?
Take care and all the best for next year.
With respect and a bonus letter 'Zed', your way, Gary :)

  30. Congrats on a hugely successful blogfest Lee! As my comptuer was in Repair Land for most of April I didn't get around to tons of posts, but I thoroughly enjoyed those I did manage to visit! Great job - virtual daisies & cupcakes are on the way! :)

  32. Hi, Lee,
I add my thanks to those of other bloggers who took part in the challenge! You all did a great job in organizing and moderating the many blogs....so many it was overwhelming to me to even try to hit a lot of them. I tried to link to Elizabeth Mueller's blog and just wound up heading up my last post with her link. I finally got it edited out. The title of my Z post is: Zapped, Zeppelin, Zipped, Zonked and WaZ Zup. I have enjoyed the challenge so very much again this year.
    Love, Ruby

  33. Hi! I just downloaded and saved the image, put it in my sidebar as a picture widget and added your link to it. It worked fine that way.

I still need to write my Reflections Article and then I'll link up tomorrow.

Thanks for everything! I had a great time and found things that I'd forgotten about posting.

    Take care,

    Kathy M.

  34. Hi Lee, my reflection post is up! (Unfortunately I use my Homepage as the Link instead of the Reflection Post, hope this is ok?)

I didn't get many followers or follow as many blogs as I would like to due to time constraint, but I will continue to visit bloggers who had participated in the Challenge after this.

    Thanks Lee.

  37. Just wanted to say thanks to the fine co-hosts of this A to Z Challenge. I won't be posting till tomorrow and will link up then but I had to comment that this has truly been an amazing event.

NEXT year, I'm going to actually sign up but I am proud that I *un*officially made it through too....and met some of the most fabulous peeps :)

Thanks again to all for being so gracious :)

  40. I'm so glad I came across this challenge & I'm gonna have a hard time expressing that... hmmm...

Kudos to all that completed it, there are so many that are part of it I think I barely broke the surface to the plethora of blogging greatness!

  41. Added mine. Thanks to our wonderful hosts, and everyone else who took part, of course. Hope next year will be even better.

  42. I have read all of your comments to this point and I thank you for each of them. I will be trying to be more attentive to each of you who commented in the next couple of days.

  43. Lee, I forgot to comment earlier, I must check that the new pic links back to you, but I'm a bit of a technogreen person.

I hope I've said it before but the A-Z provided excellent scaffolding for my theme and I thankyou for hosting. My posts are now being linked in an anti bullying FB page, and I can guarantee that I wouldn't have written them if it wasn't for this challenge. HUGE THANKYOU!!

I realised today that I joined the challenge wondering what I could Give, not what I could Get from the challenge. Interesting huh? That shift in awareness is having interesting ramifications. Again, thankyou! Sue

  44. I stupidly pasted the main link to my blog onto this list. My intent was to acknowledge the blogathon, not to blindly promote my blog.

So, I'll say "thank you" for this wonderful idea here instead!

  45. Thank you for sponsoring this challenge. As a new blogger, I needed a bit more push to keep going and got it with the A-Z Challenge. I appreciate the opportunity it gave me. Thank you again.

  46. Thanks to all who linked to your Reflections post or just stopped by with kind words. You are all appreciated.

  47. Dude, you put together one heckuva great challenge - and very well done by soooo many wonderful bloggers!

    ReplyDelete
  48. This was really very awesome. Thanks for doing this, I'm glad I participated.

For those of you who are looking for something to do now, (or maybe next month...) I'm starting work on another blog where folks who host challenges like this can go and share them, and people looking for something to join can find what they're looking for.

It's a little empty right now, because I was so busy working on the A to Z, but I'm hoping to get some good content up there! Come visit at Joinsomething.blogspot.com

Also, if you want to help me out with getting content to post, don't be shy, I could use all the help I can get! :D

  51. Hey Arlee, I played around with the cut and paste image code... I got it to work, but it won't let me paste it here in the comments because it's a html code.

I will put it at the very top of my blog (under my header) for a few days and you can come steal it from there if you'd like to use it.

Thank you SO much for hosting!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Another thanks to all of you. Claire thanks for trying to help with the code. I spent some time messing with mine, but finally lost patience and gave up and removed it from my sidebar. Maybe later when things slow down I'll learn how to do this.
