Future Is Now ( #AtoZChallenge )
Future is a destination. It's a destination that once we've reached it, it's gone. But then there is the future that lies after that, and after that, always coming toward us to only pass us by continually...
Future Is Now
From now on my past is behind me, not to be forgotten, but to be celebrated when the time to do so is proper. The future has always held a draw for me. Maybe it's something to do with a will to survive. I'm always interested to know what lies around the next corner, what I will find in the next mile. The future calls to me.
I'm listening...
How big are your plans for the future? Does your future seem bleak? What is a big thing you expect or hope to find around some future corner?

Future- synonyms to Uncertainity ; Hope ; Opportunity. Its upto us- how we look at it. I liked your opening lines where you say - Future-once we have reached it- its gone.
ReplyDeleteViyoma, all good synonyms.

I don't like to run after future, once the moment is gone, it's gone. Enjoy every minute!

Frederique, I'm not much of a runner in my physical life or otherwise. A nice walk is more my pace.

I remember as a teen that the prospect of just the next day kept me from the usual suicidal thoughts. Belief that something better COULD happen.
ReplyDeleteCW, my parents were both pretty optimistic so I guess that was easy to learn. As I grew older there were some rough times for me, but in the midst there was always tomorrow.

Lee,
ReplyDeleteThe biggest thing we have planned for our future is to be in a larger home. After living in our current place for 40 years we are set on what we like and don't like so you can say we're pretty fickle when it comes to scooping out new property and that's okay with us. As far our more immediate plans go, we were discussing the possibility of taking a vacation this year but now that's up the air until the COVID-19 outbreak settles. I guess we'll continue to plan for both and hope for he best.

Cathy, funny, now that our kids are gone I think a smaller home would be more practical. I still dream of a bigger house than what we have now, but couldn't afford that where we are.

I'm just looking ahead to all of the events we have scheduled this year and trying to guess which ones will still happen.
ReplyDeleteL.Diane, plans are going awry for many. Just gotta be flexible I guess.

Our plans are almost in place. We're just taking the speed bumps and ruts in the road a little slower so as to get there in once piece ;-)
ReplyDeleteDiedre, as life progresses it's better to take things slower.

Of course recently my future has a different look and feel to it— I’m glad just a few weeks back I knew nothing of this present future
ReplyDeleteMy name is Leslie. Don't have a blog myself but enjoy reading others. I'm a California native myself, Northern California. Found yours on another bloggers list and liked your title so decided to take a look.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing truly constant about life is change, so when I think of the future, I wonder what it will be like with no expectations that it will resemble yesterday's world or today's world. I simply hope it will be better and not worse. There are no guarantees.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be able to work on my crafts full time in a home relatively in the country. At this point, even though the future is uncertain, we should still think about what we'd like it to look like.

I'd love for my future to involve a spacious condo in a historic building in one of my favorite cities, provided I can afford it. I'd love to live in a Victorian house (particularly a Queen Anne), but a condo is more practical to who I am. As long as the building is from the early 20th or late 19th century, with its original details preserved, I'll be happy.
ReplyDeleteI live in the here and now and rarely think about the future
ReplyDeletei hope to see a specialist about my Ehlers-Danlos and finally have it in writing. I have been told I have it, that I am double jointed everywhere but never got it in writing. I just feel like I am Vindicated. I would lo fix my home up more.
