Imagination (Elements of Blogging) #AtoZChallenge

Imagination can be found on most blogs, but a blog can focus on imagination as well.  Blog topics designed to develop greater creativity might include prompts as well as tips on strengthening the power of the mind.   Some bloggers might use their sites as a showcase for sharing their own imaginative creations with the world.

A blog is an ideal forum for brainstorming and developing ideas, innovations, or inventions. The input we receive from others can put our ideas to the test.   We can provide inspiration to others as well as receive inspiration to continue to be motivated in what we are working to achieve.   The support we can receive from blogging friends and associates can be something that we might have a difficult time finding from our friends and families.

Do you find it easier to express your imagination on your blog than with the people in your daily life?    Have you ever developed an idea that started on your blog and was helped along by others who had read what you had written about that idea?     Can you think of some other blogging elements that start with the letter "I"?

  1. I find it easier to write how I feel than to discuss it with people, even my goals in life which may be imagination or perhaps not.
    Good subject Le..

  2. Imagination is what allows humans to be compassionate. Imagination brings the magic to the ordinary. To be able to imagine is a higher form consciousness. Thank you for reminding me of it. I love a good imaginary flight and those bloggers who use it with humour especially!

    1. Without imagination we'd be pretty dull boys and girls. There would also probably be no innovation or invention.

  4. I have always been a story teller.
However, the last three years have been so sad for me that I had come to accept the fact I had lost all of my stories. I believed there were no more stories for me to tell.
Participating in this challenge has encouraged my imagination to wake out of its, as of late, dormant state.
    It feels good to stretch!

  6. I'm definitely more open to expressing my imagination on my blog than with people in real life. If I need help with an idea or just want to share it, I think the people who read my blog would understand more than any person I actually know (probably because I don't know any other writers/bloggers in real life).

    1. I think there is something more conducive to the blog format when it comes to discussing imaginative ideas and especially anything related to writing. A lot of people just aren't interested in talking about such things.

  7. People in my non blog life don't understand my blog and my expression. I have not been around fully in the last months, I have been sort of asked to step away from my sites to focus on real life issues. My ideas and imagery are slowly being ripped away... so has my imagination... which is sad for me as I connect with people here and friends that I have know me as a face with words, I am wanting to be an "I" instead of a "IT"... think that makes sense...

    1. Makes a lot of sense to me. I'm in a similar situation as far as people outside of my blog life and my interests in blogging. Most of them seem to think I'm just dallying and wasting time. They don't get blogging and aren't interested in coming to understand it.

  8. I haven' gotten ideas from my blog I have too many of them to begin with. Other "I" words that relate to writing: Idea, Intuition, Inspiration, Idiosyncrasies...

    1. Inspiration is a thematic concept that many blogs already use, but could still have a lot of possibilities.

  9. Sure. I'm a bit of an introvert so its easier for me to express myself in writing rather than spoken words.

  10. Intuition comes to mind. I think you intuitively know if you can connect with a person or not by reading their posts. Interesting is, of course, another I word. The posts have to have something that captures my interest.

  11. I find inspiration on a lot of blogs I follow and am very impressed with people's imagination.

  12. Oh I share my imagination with just about everyone-sometimes they just look at me and wonder??:) I do find inspiration from other bloggers and their imagination stirs creativity in me. I think of Inks (I use them), Interests, Ideas...

  14. I find it easier to discuss imagination on my blog. I think it's because people can't break up my train of thought so it's easier for me to explain.

  18. my A to Z for April is on Poetry and Shakespeare. However I'm in the process of writing a blogging feature which I started in January and to complete in May called the A to Z lowdown on blogging. My I post was on Images.

And yes, to all of your questions. When I started blogging I finally found a platform for my imagination and creativity. Since I'm a very creative person this has been amazing. My family simply does not get it. I could go on to write an entire post on my own about this. Great choice of topic. :)

  20. I'm not sure I've started an idea that was continued on with. It is easier to use my imagination on my blogs. Once offline, I'm doing other projects.

  23. I'm much more comfortable writing than talking, especially where my imagination is concerned. Even when I write, I do multiple drafts because sometimes it takes a while for the imagination to come out and play.

  24. I too am definitely more comfortable writing my feelings than talking about them. I honestly have always been afraid of revealing too much of my imagination in my writing. I have a bit of a wild imagination and I worry people will think, did she really think that.
I try to be inspirational when I write.

  25. It's easier for me to be more imaginative on my blog. Thanks to you, A to Z really allows us to experiment with different ideas. This has been another great challenge, Lee!
