10th Annual A to Z Reflections ( #AtoZChallenge )

As another Blogging from A to Z April Challenge has passed, it is time for another Reflections post.  After having done nine of these already I'm not sure that I have much to say that hasn't been said on this blog many times before.  I will say that it was a very good year from my perspective.

#AtoZChallenge 2019 Tenth Anniversary badge

In many ways I've become a lazy blogger.  More precisely I've lost a blogging fervor that drove me in my first years of blogging.  In a sense this is good in that I've created more balance in my life.  For a while, blogging became my obsession. Now I've found some other obsessions that put demands on my time. It's all a good thing so I'm fine with all of this.

The bottom line though for the sake of this Reflections post is that I survived another Challenge and I think I did a credible job of doing so.  My thanks to everyone who commented and especially those who kept coming back again and again.

And my utmost thanks to the incredible job done by our Team Captain J Lenni Dorner and all of the A to Z Team:

  1. Congratulations Lee to you and all who survived the A to Z. I apologise for my absence but as you know losing a son late last year has taken it's toil.

    1. Yvonne, you were commenting throughout the month so I don't think of you as being absent. Thanks for your continued support.

  3. Well done Mr B we can all chill again now.

Like yourself I am more involved with other things I have an interest in back in the real world. The A to Z has been good for me to do this year as it has got me back thinking about doing more regular posts again. Which all being well will happen.

Take care and see you at next years A to Z. . .

    1. Rob, A to Z is always kind of a bit of a recharge and then there is a withdrawal later on. Then summer during which blogging always takes a hit.

    1. Donna, this September will be my 10th blogging anniversary and in that time I've done 10 Challenges--I did my first right after I started blogging.

    1. Janet, the shirt would likely look better on someone else, but I was the only model available at that moment. Thanks for being with us at A to Z for another year.

  6. Wow! You've even got T-shirts now! That's when you know you've hit the big time, LEE.

I can't recall if I commented on any of your posts but I definitely read some of 'em. Hard to believe it's been a decade since you started the 'A2Z' blogfest.

You got next year's theme figured out yet? Better hurry, as it'll be April again by morning.

    1. STMcC, we've actually had tees for four years now. I wish our "big time" would pay bills for me, but at least some people have some fun with it in April.

Like BOTB, I've got several potential themes in my queue. The problem is that I keep thinking of new ones.

  7. like you, I've become quite lazy with blogging even with challenges that should make me less lazy like the a-z challenge.

this year's a-z was a bit laid-back, it seemed to me, even I slacked off with commenting & I didn't comment as much as I used to, I read a ton of posts but for some reason, I can't even think of a decent comment to write. it's sad but perhaps just posting your stuff and letting people read is enough without the commenting bit?

    congrats on finishing the challenge.

    have a lovely day.

    1. Lissa, I enjoyed the laid back feel of this year's Challenge. I know that sometimes commenting can be difficult, but just a note saying you had stopped by can be nice for the blogger. But I hear what you're saying.

Blogging is a funny thing sometimes. My views about it have evolved and continue to do so.

  8. I also want to be lazy with blogging. But readers bring you back. They are still reading after 14 years. Why not update the post? The motivation comes. 10 years of challenge. 1. Narayana Rao, as long as we can I guess we should continue with our efforts if they seem to mean something to somebody. But we always have to consider our own personal goals that might interfere with dedicated blogging.

    1. Roland, thank you so much. I keep meaning to mention to you (hopefully you might see my response) that it's difficult to find your blog because your Blogger profile does not provide a blog link and you don't leave a clickable link in your posts.

If you noticed that I didn't visit many of your posts it's because I was hurrying through my responses and would move on if it weren't easy, then forget to come back. Let me know if you need help in remedying that situation.

    2. This is a reply using my blog site's ID. I need to look at my Blogger ID as it was linked to Google+ until the latter folded. I try to add in links - if I'm not rushing to play AtoZ catch-up. 13. Congratulations on another successful A to Z Challenge, for the 10th year in a row! I think many of us have cut back on our blogging schedules for other pursuits. That's not a bad thing. ☺

    1. Debbie D, not a bad thing at all unless it's the way you make a living. Maybe next year you can do A to Z in the lazy way I did this year.

  17. I totally know what you mean about blogging being an obsession and then kind of getting pushed to one side when new obsessions come along lol. I posted daily on my blog for three years, and I now I only post 4 times per week - I enjoyed the challenge this year because it reminded me of blogging daily (I also wondered how the hell I did it day in and day out for so long lol)

    1. Debbie, 4 times per week is still 4 X more than I've been posting. Simple daily posting is not bad for one month, but I don't know that I'd want to do that schedule all the time. But never say never!
