Really Tossing It Out There

As many readers may know I am a bit of a juggler.  However, I will embarassingly leave the room now while you view one of the world's greatest jugglers, Francis Brunn, in a classic clip from the Jack Benny Show.   This man was not only a great juggler, but also a tremendous gymnast and dancer.  Note his amazing movements and form.

Was he ever on the Red Skelton show?

  3. I would've prefered seeing you yourself juggling in front of a camera :)

  4. Awesome video. I'm with The Words Crafter and wonder if today's generation would appreciate this man's true talent (not computer generated).
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Oh, heck, I do that every morning while drinking my coffee, just to wake up and get the blood flowing.

  6. That was amazing Lee, but in all honesty you under estimate yourself, I'm sure you were and still are an excellent jugglar.

    Happy new year.

  7. Hi Lee .. I can see exactly what you're saying - what a wonderful video clip to have found. Amazing dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination amongst other things ..

I'm sure Yvonne above is right .. that you still know a trick or two .. care to share?

    Happy New Year - Hilary

  11. Words Crafter -- I would imagine that Brunn was on the Skelton show at one time. He was a star in his day and appeared on nearly every major TV variety show. I think people do appreciate the talent today when they see it done live--you just don't see it as often.

Alex -- Three balls is the place to start! You're on your way.

Dezmond-- Believe me, my juggling cannot remotely compare to Brunn's artistry.

Mason-- We are so fooled by computer technology these days it's hard to tell what's real isn't it.

StMc -- And you are probably doing a political rant at the same time!

Yvonne -- I appreciate those kind words.

  12. Hilary-- I never had the skill of Brunn. I did more silly comedy type juggling.

Diana- We'll have to get together and juggle some time!

Andrew -- Actually there is a rather bad video of me juggling on YouTube-- maybe I'll post it someday.

    Golden Eagle-- Isn't it?

M Pax -- Me too! I wish I could have been that good, but I just never had the dedication to practice.

  13. Wow! Brunn was a real showman!

I would love to have that kind of agility and hand-eye coordination.

Benny was always a favorite. :)

  14. Paula-- I watched the Benny show every week. He was a great comedian. And yes, Brunn had an amazing performance style and did the seemingly impossible.
