I've got a pretty good little stash from over the years, and I was feeling pretty smug about it until I realized that it's all my money anyway, because I'm the only one in the house who sticks money in a pocket. My husband empties his pockets on the kitchen counter every evening. My kids never carried money with them. But it's still my little fund for taking a vacation some day (I think I can get to Galena now on it, which is about 7 miles away). I also pick up money I find in parking lots, on sidewalks, in stores, etc. It's usually only a penny, but 99 more of them and I can get a fountain drink, so I bend over and pick them up!Dyanne @ I Want Backsieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04946323852124525597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-149224757183756660.post-9898991817797277682018-04-19T10:28:11.636-07:002018-04-19T10:28:11.636-07:00I once found $100 that I placed in a drawer and fo...I once found $100 that I placed in a drawer and forgot about it. Years ago, I used to accumulate several dollars worth in coins that I stored in a mason jar. My MIL did the same and often times she'd pass it to us but usually had $20+ saved. That was a welcome to have it, too. It doesn't sound like a lot but when you're tight on money from raising a family then every little bit helps. I do recall one time when I was a kid, I don't know what prompted me to do this but for some reason I stumbled upon a little rain puddle that was filled with coins. I don't recall how much it was but it was a least a dollar in change that someone no doubt dropped out of the vehicle. I fished the money out and went to the store buying a little stash of candy. lol Oh the things one remembers!

Thanks for visiting my iPad Art Sketch'M' is for my favorite Monster A2Z post on Saturday, my friend. When his disability checks weren't enough to cover expenses, he and my mom sat down and poured the jingling contents of that jug out onto the floor and started rolling change.
