I would imagine there is also a great deal of income generated by the Labs, but it's actually something I've never thought of. There is a fee for the museum which the tours are a part of and they do have a gift shop and concessions that probably add to the income. But since the National Park is involved I'm sure part of the funding is through the Park service, but I have not idea how all monies are dispersed or what the costs are. This would be an interesting question to explore.
