U2 impressed me when I saw their "Concert at Red Rocks" on HBO and I then became a fan. That's when I "met" Prefab Sprout and loved them. One band, if one can call him that, I fell in love with right away (I still can't explain why) is Prince. Clear vocals equals appreciating the song.
